Natural Remedies For Acid Reflux

 

One of the major symptoms of acid reflux is burning pain in the chest. Other symtoms of acid reflux include refluxing acid into the esophagus, and regurgitation.  Acid reflux occurs when the lower esophageal sphincter muscle (LES) relaxes and allows stomach acid to splash up into the esophagus.  Some people suffer from what is called "silent acid reflux".  They have no symptoms except a sore and raspy throat when they awake in the morning. 

One of the greatest natural remedies for acid reflux is to recognize which foods trigger acid reflux.  Those foods should be avoided during the natural acid reflux recovery period.

Overeating, excessive consumption of caffeine, smoking and eating just before sleep all contribute to acid reflux.  Changing of food habits helps in body cleansing which is important for acid reflux prevention. Physical activities like jogging, aerobic exercises etc are also helpful. Laughing provides natural inner message. Herbals are also natural remedies for acid reflux. They help with digestion and have no side effects.  A natural cure is always better than drugs and is the only way to really cure acid reflux.

One of the most important natural remedies for acid reflux is to drink copious amounts of pure water each day.  Water flushes toxins out of the system and prepares the body to heal more quickly.
